Reporting Abuse or Neglect

All staff members are mandated reporters of the state. We are required by law to report suspected abuse and/or neglect to the Director and/or the Department of Children and Families.

Termination/Suspension

All children are accepted into our program on a trial basis. We will do everything we can to accommodate your child’s individual needs and make their placement work, but after a thirty day period a match between child and school does not work parents will be notified about the situation and our efforts to deal with it. Reasons for suspension or termination of a child might be and are not limited to biting, behavior problems, adjustment problems, and learning disabilities that we are not qualified for or trained in. We will work with the child and the parents towards improvement and success. Termination will occur only when all resources have been exhausted. We will provide written documentation (a copy will be given to the parents and one will be filed in child’s file). Children may also be terminated if financial obligations are not met. No student’s tuition may have more than one month balance at anytime.
